Tucked away in Upper Arthur Street in Belfast City Centre, this little Italian has a very unique and intimate decor. They also have a £6.50 express lunch menu with enough on it to suit most including plenty of vegetarian options.
I was with a few friends from work and, whether through kind consideration or sheer luck, they all ordered something different meaning more nice foodie pics! 🙂
So brought to our table were Lasagne, Macaroni Cheese, Italian Sausage Risotto and I went for the Goat;s Cheese Crostini along with a bowl of oven roast potatoes with thyme & garlic butter.
All very traditional and authentic Italian cooking. I pinched a bit of the mac & cheese (as did everyone!) which was gorgeous and not too heavy or overloaded with cheese. My crostini was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, though I do love goat’s cheese which is slightly acquired and may not be to everyone’s taste. The potatoes were very nice but they could’ve done with just a little chilli oil or something to add a bit of spicy heat, a very minor point however, and i’m sure they would do this if asked.
The express lunch menu is excellent value for money and there’s also a very good “Date Night” deal. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 glasses of wine for £29.95 all in.
All four diners were well satisfied with their meal and I would return here without hesitation. An excellent setting with authentic and great tasting food.
