Alfredo’s, Lisburn Square, Lisburn

So it feels like forever since I’ve written a restaurant review but last Thursday my Son & I headed for a trip to Lisburn Square to Alfredo’s which opened back in April. I hadn’t heard a bad report about it and was looking forward to finally eating there.


We sat in the comfy seats at the window for a nosey out onto the Square. Alfredo’s both inside and out is very modern and stylishly decorated. Warm colours and atmospheric lighting make it a welcoming place and after a friendly greeting from Ionut our server we got a drink and were brought some very nice potato & leek soup to sample, served in espresso cups. Nice touch!

The menu here has pretty much everything covered. Some great classic Italian dishes like lasagne, carbonara and duck ragu as well as a a very tempting list of starters and of course, pizzas. The prawn and crab gremolata linguine had caught my eye when I had a look at the menu earlier in the day so I stuck with that. I always have a read of the menu in advance of anywhere I go, it’s a inescapable habit of mine.

The kids menu is good also and has the obligatory colouring in bit to keep them occupied, if only for a short time. My little companion was set on pizza and pizza only so he helped himself to a full 10′ ham & sweetcorn and chunky chips.

As well as the extensive a la carte they do some great offers in Alfredo’s including an early bird 4-6-4 starter-main-dessert menu. £14 for a 3 course dinner, sure you couldn’t beat it!

The pizza went down very well with my boy, who can be quite the critic simply dictated by whatever day it happened to be :). The seafood linguine was outstanding I have to say, every bit mouthwatering & gorgeous and it took a nice picture too!

What was great about Alfredo’s apart from the food of course, is how welcome we were made to feel. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. Hats off to Ionut!

Alfredo’s is a cool, classy Italian. Well worth a visit with friends or family.
